Celebrating Yumminess - Celine S

If you follow me on Twitter, you would know that I’ve been stuffing myself with food since my return from my trip to China. I can’t help it! I miss all my usual comfort food (ok, maybe it’s more chronic than that since I’ve been home for more than a week now). T says I’ve turned into an eating machine. Maybe he’s worried I would eat a hole in his pocket ;P.

Guess what? When I’m not actually eating, I’m ogling at food images. Haha! Totally in love with the gorgeous food photography from Celine S right now. *drool*

Hanging Mobiles

You might remember that awhile ago, I was in love with buntings. I still am but I’ve also been so smitten with hanging mobiles lately! So inspired by all the pretty mobiles I’m seeing I feel l like making one too (adding to the list of crafty projects I want to dive into!).

Do you like hanging mobiles too? Do you also have a long crafty project list? What have you been getting your hands dirty with lately?

Sichuan, China

Hello lovelies! I’m back! How have you been? That week long trip is definitely going down as one of my most memorable! It started out like any other trip with the family. My parents and I were visiting China. As we were all busy, we took the option of going on a guided tour. It included being on a coach to reach the more remote and rural areas but held the promise of gorgeous scenic sites. Unfortunately, the unusual and persistent summer rain took its toil on the land and landslides were occurring. With the windy, narrow roads blocked, we were stranded on our return trip in these remote areas for more than 10 hours!

I’ll spare you the harrowing details and my heart goes out to the villages whose lives are so dependent on nature yet these very same forces wreck havoc on them every so often. I’m glad to be home. I am also more thankful than ever that I am able to live with material comforts in a place free from natural calamities.

A few photos from the trip. I must say, the natural landscape was breathtaking! Made me realise how immense this land is and how small I really am.

Back in the city, we visited the pandas. They are pretty adorable! They look like they’re wearing little cropped jackets!

THANK YOU!

Hi there, how are you? What did you do over the weekend? It was pretty busy for me last week, with events to attend, craft projects to complete and the flea to prepare for. I also make it a point to blog every weekday. It isn’t easy but I just want to let you know that you readers are important to me.

Which is why, it was FANTASTIC to meet you SWEET SWEET folks who came down specially to *SCAPE to support me on Saturday!! I had people tell me they read Cookie Cutter and it was really a pleasant surprise. For others, it was great to be able to finally put a face to your names. I had fun chatting with you all! If you were shy and didn’t introduce yourself, I hope you do the next time we have a chance to because I would love to know you too! And to the lovely international friends and others who weren’t able to come but who wished me all the best anyway, thank you too! I wrapped up Saturday tired but really happy :)

By the time you’re reading this, I would already be overseas, on a little trip with the family. I’ve prepared a few posts in advance for this week, so do continue to pop over. Photos of the trip promised upon my return next week! I’ll miss you but it’ll be nice to disconnect for a little while. I hope you have a great week too. See you soon, lovelies!

To the Flea!

Hey lovelies, how are you doing? The week seems to have flown by, isn’t it? I mentioned that I’ve been working hard the past week or so. I’m pretty happy with the fruits of my labour. And here’s the news I wanted to let you on:

I’ll be selling these handmade items at a flea market this Saturday (14 August)! For those of you in Singapore, it’s happening from 12 - 8pm at *SCAPE. Here’s a sneak peek at a few of the handmade items I’ll be selling:

Journals with Japanese linen cover and hand embroidery

Tote bags

There will be various designs of the above items. I’ll also be selling a few cards. Other than the handmade, I’ll be selling apparels and accessories as well at great prices! So, c’mon down on Saturday! I hope to see you there :)

It's a Breeze - SM2

Beautiful summer collection from Japanese label, SM2, that is breezy and lightweight. Shot in the tropical outdoors and bathed in golden sunlight, I can’t help falling for the picturesque idyllic!

I hope this is how your weekend will be like-- relaxing and close to nature. We are having a long weekend over here so I’ll see you back here on Tues. I’ll be doing something a little exciting next weekend so right now I’m a busy little bee. I’ll let you on it next week, so be sure to be back :)
