Beautiful house in a normal residential area in Japan. The inclined roof allowed an an eye-catching exterior. The interior is bright, airy and inviting. I love the fluidity between the indoor and outdoor! Designed by Okazaki-based Studio Velocity.

So very lovely. As someone who's favourite room is the balcony, I think this is just drool-worthy.
ReplyDeleteBut I'll be puzzling all night over what happens when it rains.
=)
Nice pictures! Despite being so close to the sourrounding houses there are a lot of private semi-exterior spaces... and I found out there is a little hairdresser on the ground floor, I love that they still build houses with the family business incorporated
ReplyDeleteHi creativespark, thanks for popping over again. I'm wondering if there's some retractable window pane. Otherwise, I guess it's showers of blessing!
ReplyDeleteHi mrs, good to "see" you again! Yes! And i can imagine how cozy the hairdressing space is!
Hi Sandy, I finally got a Google account and now I can post comments! Have a nice long weekend!
ReplyDeleteCreativespark, the ground of that space is treated as if it were a terrace; the pavement is sloped and there is a draining system (I saw that on the cross section of the building)
Hi Mariana! I didn't realised it's you but yay! Great that we can now connect over here :)
